Starting Monday, April 14, Second Avenue from Main Street to Mission Street will be closed to all traffic. Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists should heed all traffic signs and stay clear of the work zone, where Southeast Roadbuilders will be making a series of repairs to the roadway. The road will remain closed through June 1, 2025.
Access to properties and businesses will remain available through designated secondary access roads and pedestrian walkways to ensure safe and continued movement for all residents and visitors. Emergency vehicle access will also be maintained at all times.
We understand road construction can be frustrating, especially downtown during the busy tourist season. We will do everything we can to make it go as smoothly as possible. Thank you for your patience and support as we complete these essential improvements.
