We are seeking a new team member to join our Flock!

The American Bald Eagle Foundation is a 501c3 Non-Profit Natural History Museum with a Raptor Center. We are looking for a self-starter and experienced Gift Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our retail gift shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and excellent customer service abilities. This role involves managing the cash register, inventory, greeting customers and crowd control. The Gift Shop Manager will play a key role in the American Bald Eagle Foundation by maintaining store standards and fostering a welcoming environment for both customers and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and cash handling
  • Manage inventory control, including purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing products.
  • Utilize POS systems efficiently for transactions and sales tracking
  • Monitor store budget and manage expenses to ensure profitability
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and store policies
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills and leadership

Experience

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Proven management experience in retail or gift shop environments with cash handling experience
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service excellence
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with effective time management and communication skills are essential for success in this role
