Haines Friends of Recycling has new interim hours during its transition to our new location.

The drop-off area on Small Tracts is still functioning 24/7/365 for aluminum and tin cans, #1, #2, #5 plastics, cardboard, white office paper, and shredded paper.  The donation jar for drop-offs is now a slot in the wall by the main garage door.

Other items such as appliances(washers, dryers, stoves, hot water heaters, refrigerators, freezers) and fluorescent tubes will be taken at the Third Ave location (334 South Third Ave -up the hill from the public safety building) ONLY on Saturdays from 10-noon. The Re-use Depot is open at the Third Ave location ONLY on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

We apologize for the limited hours. Once the move is complete we will expand our open hours. We are anticipating being open with staff hours 10-4 on Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday 10-5 for drop-off.
