Gene Tagaban will present "The Art of Storytelling" - April 14th 7pm
Tuesday, April 14th, 7 pm at the ANB/ANS Hall, Haines. Gene Tagaban, a master Native storyteller, will make you laugh as he shares his stories using song, drum, flute, raven regalia and more. Great time for kids and adults! Free Admission

Make Art not Trash - April 11 and 18
Youth 10 and up and adults are invited to workshops led by local artist Amelia Nash on April 11 and 18 at the Haines School Art Room from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will be working with paper mache, making animals for a mobile that will be installed at the Haines School Library on Earth Day, April 22, 2009.

Tax Day Tea Party - April 15
From 4:00-6:00 p.m. At the cruise ship dock. Bring your signs & a gallon of tea a non-partisan event about federal spending.

Book and Bake Sale - April 18. 8 am to noon
The Friends of the Haines Borough Public Library are kicking off their annual membership drive with a book and bake sale during the Health Fair. 8am-Noon at the Haines High School. Browse 1/2 price books and pick up a treat. Friends of the Library receive 1/2 price books and movies all year long and funds support great programs in town for youth and technology.

Haines Community Health Fair , April 18th, 8am-noon at Haines High School. Free health screenings, health education, low cost blood tests.
